PriceTally Search is now in your address bar
From now on, the fastest way to compare prices is your address bar.
What this extension changes
- It changes your browser’s default search engine to PriceTally Search (listed as “PriceTally” in your search engine settings). Searches from the address bar go through PriceTally Search and the results are provided by Microsoft Bing. Pressing Enter always runs a Bing search for exactly what you typed.
- While you type, suggestions come from Microsoft Bing. For product searches we add a “Compare prices” row, plus a “Price-drop watch” row when it’s a product we already track — you only go to PriceTally if you pick one.
- It asks for no permissions: it can’t read the pages you visit, your tabs or your history.
- To undo: remove the extension (open
chrome://extensions→ PriceTally Search → Remove) and your previous search engine comes back. You can also review your search engines atchrome://settings/searchEngines.
How we handle the searches you type: Privacy policy.
1
Type any product in the address bar
e.g. "airpods pro 2" or "dyson v15" — just like a normal search.
2
Pick the PriceTally suggestion
Look for the PriceTally row in the dropdown — it's a one-click shortcut to every store's price, sorted low to high.
3
Everything else searches normally
Regular web searches still go through Bing, exactly as before. PriceTally only shows up when it can actually help.
Want to try it without the address bar? Search from the PriceTally home page instead — same prices, same stores.
