Frequently asked questions
How do I uninstall the Windows app?
Open Start → Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find PriceTally, click ⋯ → Uninstall. Or right-click PriceTally in the Start menu and choose Uninstall. This removes the app and all its local data.
How do I remove the browser extension and get my old search engine back?
In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, find PriceTally Search and click Remove. Or click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar, then ⋮ next to PriceTally Search, then Remove from Chrome. Chrome then goes back to your previous default search engine. To choose a different one, go to Settings → Search engine (or chrome://settings/searchEngines) and pick it under Search engine used in the address bar.
How do I turn off notifications?
In the PriceTally app, open Settings and switch off any reminder or alert you don't want. To silence the app completely, open Windows Settings → System → Notifications and turn off PriceTally.
How do I stop PriceTally from starting with Windows?
Untick Start with Windows in the app's tray-icon menu (or its Settings). Or open Windows Settings → Apps → Startup and switch PriceTally off. To close the app completely, right-click its tray icon and choose Exit.
How do I turn the clipboard check on or off?
It's off by default. In the PriceTally app, open Settings and switch "Watch my clipboard for product names" on or off. Copied text is checked only on your PC.
An AI answer was wrong or inappropriate. How do I report it?
Click Report under the answer in "Ask PriceTally", choose a reason and add a note if you like. You can also email [email protected] with the question, the answer and a screenshot. AI answers can be inaccurate — please double-check important information.
Why did a search open Bing?
PriceTally Search uses Microsoft Bing for web results. Only PriceTally suggestions (marked with the PriceTally icon) open on this site.
Does PriceTally collect my personal data?
There are no accounts, and the things you save stay on your device. Read the full Privacy Policy.
